New Optimisation Software

REVISS offers a comprehensive service for load planning and cobalt source replenishment in gamma irradiation facilities. Underpinning the load planning process is our proprietary PURIDEC optimisation software that is used to plan all source optimisations. This software has been continually improved over the past decade in order to maintain our reputation for satisfying individual custome objectives.

Responding to Customer Requirements

Source Rack OptimisationREVISS has invested in a major software upgrade to incorporate additional advanced algorithms to assist with the load planning process in order to better satisfy the majority of customer requests to:

  • Minimise plant downtime for cobalt loading

  • Maintain the established dose distribution within the cell

The software can maintain the activity distribution to very tight tolerances, potentially better than +/- 0.1% depending upon movement constraints. If changes to the plant performance are requested, the software can be used to determine if the desired activity distribution is achievable and if so the most efficient route to it.

Source Optimisation is recommended at the time of cobalt-60 replenishment loading but is available as a service to gamma plant operators at any other time.
