End of Life Management

REVISS Services complies with relevant regulations, relating to the safe return of radioactive materials, ensuring the protection of the environment and the development of our business.

REVISS wishes to maximise the social, environmental and commercial benefits associated with the supply of its products and works to develop procedures that facilitate recycling and re-use of radioactive materials in our products.  In so doing REVISS minimises the accumulation of hazardous materials and the potential environmental impact of disposal at the end of product working life

With the introduction in many countries of ‘duty of care’ legislation, each person in the chain leading to waste disposal has a duty to minimise pollution.  In accordance with this trend REVISS will actively assist customers to discharge their responsibility to dispose of materials of REVISS’ origin safely and effectively providing this is sympathetic to environmental considerations, and does not incur penalties (economic or environmental) to REVISS.

In pursuance of this policy, REVISS will not routinely take back radioactive materials into its facilities for disposal, but may accept selected materials for disposal to properly licensed facilities or for recycling into new product providing that the radioactive waste arising form the recycling process is less than or equal to the waste produced by using new radioactive feedstock.
